This is probably one of the best known restaurants in Pretoria and has been surprising visitors with it's warm and relaxing atmosphere for many years. The true French Belgian tradition is reflected in the delectable dishes and the Chef-Patron, Daniel Leusch's passionate description of their speciality dishes like the Duck with exotic flavours or Springbok in red wine sauce with cranberries makes it well worth the visit. The eatery takes its name from the shell shaped Madeleine biscuit of which French writer Marcel Proust once wrote that it 'invades the senses with exquisite pleasure'. The same is true of this restaurant.
